At least 22 California Greens are running in the spring 2018 elections. 

The Candidates listed here have all qualified for the ballot; unless otherwise noted as write-in candidates.

Note - inclusion on this list does not imply endorsement. Endorsements for statewide office are made by the Green Party of California and indicated for endorsed candidate below.

Butch Ware Fights to Stay on the June Ballot

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 - Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Butch Ware, is filing a federal lawsuit and an appeal in CA following a ruling by Sacramento Superior Court Judge in support of the California Secretary of State’s decision to exclude Dr. Ware from the June primary ballot due to a technicality. Dr. Ware vows to legally pursue his right to ballot access.

The Green Party of California condemns the military attacks on Iran and the assassination of the Iranian religious leaders by the U.S. and Israel.
